DAILY REFLECTION

“being confident of this, that he who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus.”
Philippians‬ ‭1‬:‭6‬ ‭

God never abandons His workmanship. Our progress in Him is not secured by our perfection, but by His persistence. His grace continues to mold, correct, strengthen, and guide us — faithfully, step by step.

When Tyrannus Online Seminary’s founder, Prof. Dr. Paul Cheng, was called home on 22 January 2023, we felt the heavy weight of loss. He was a visionary who carried God’s heartbeat for theological education. Yet even in grief, God’s hands were already at work.

The mantle of leadership then fell on me — a businessman without formal theological training, yet entrusted with a divine burden. Though uncertain of myself, I clung to one truth: When God calls, His hands equip. By His grace, a committed team of board members, seminarians, advisors, and co-labourers rose together. Programs expanded from Certificate to Diploma to Bachelor of Theology. The torch of training faithful servants kept burning — because God’s hands held it firm.

A breakthrough came with the launch of TOSLMS.org, our own Learning Management System. What once seemed impossible became reality as God opened the way for a fully digital seminary, accessible anywhere, anytime.

Then on 19 September 2025, history was made. TOS received official ATA accreditation for Certificate, Diploma, and Bachelor of Theology programs — in both English and Chinese. Truly, what God begins, He brings to completion.

The journey pressed forward. Graduate Diploma and Master of Arts programs emerged on the horizon. And on 22 November 2025, at the 3rd TOS Graduation Ceremony, I passed the baton to Dr. Andrew Teo — a younger leader full of vision and fresh anointing.

At the same time, God opened new frontiers through Tyrannus Network International (TNI) — uniting believers in learning, leadership, and the marketplace. The TNI Business Lounge now stands as a hub where leaders dream, strategize, and build for God’s glory, with more lounges to come across nations.

From classrooms to boardrooms, from nations to networks, the vision advances — carried always by the faithful hands of God, who completes every work He begins. And so we press on, confident that the One who started this good work will carry it forward until the day of Christ Jesus.

Philippians 1:6 assures us that our lives are in the hands of a faithful God. What He begins, He sustains; what He sustains, He perfects. It is a promise that gives courage in trials, hope in the unknown, and confidence that God’s purposes for us will surely come to pass.

"God doesn't call the equipped, He equips the called."

DAILY REFLECTION

“I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith.”
2 Timothy‬ ‭4‬:‭7‬ ‭

In the face of life’s unpredictability, we are reminded that what matters most is not the length of our days but the faithfulness of our walk. Each choice, each act of love, each moment of courage becomes part of the testimony we leave behind.

The tragic passing of my dear friend, Paul Wong Chee Meng, in Thailand on 22 November 2025 has left a deep ache in our hearts. Even in our grief, we pause to honour the life he lived. As the founder of Mega Star Arena, Paul was known for his passion, dedication, and influence in Malaysia’s entertainment industry. But beyond his achievements, it was his courage, perseverance, and care for others that defined his journey.

Paul’s fight was not only against the struggles of this world, but often for others — standing with friends, supporting family, and offering kindness in quiet, unseen ways. He was not perfect, but he was faithful in the race set before him.

None of us expected his journey to end so soon, nor in such a tragic way. His race, though shorter than we hoped, was marked by meaningful relationships, shared memories, laughter, and moments that shaped all who knew him. Even in uncertainty, his life reflected resilience and a willingness to keep moving forward.

Now we face the painful silence of his absence, but we hold onto the hope that he rests in the hands of the One who sees, knows, and receives every soul with compassion. While Paul’s earthly race has ended, his legacy of love, friendship, and courage continues in each of us. His life reminds us to live purposefully, to love deeply, and to run our own race with faith.

2 Timothy‬ ‭4‬:‭7‬ ‭ reminds us that every believer is called to run their race faithfully, so that at the end of life we too can say: I fought, I finished, and I kept the faith.

“We must run with purpose, not like someone "beating the air".

Daily Reflection

November 24, 2025

"But be hospitable to those from afar, be good, be dignified, be fair, be holy, and be self-disciplined."

Titus 1:8

True leadership lies not in status, but in the integrity that comes from serving with love, justice, and sacrifice.

Brian Stevenson was an American lawyer, social justice advocate, and founder of the Equal Justice Initiative. He dedicated his life to defending the most desperate and needy: the poor, the wrongfully convicted, and women and children marginalized within the justice system. He was not driven by fame or power, but by compassion, dignity, and a profound belief that everyone was created in God's image.

For decades, he ventured into the deepest corners of human suffering: death row cells, broken communities, courts rife with injustice, yet he remained composed, compassionate, and steadfast. He opened his life, his time, and his heart to those rejected by society; listened to their stories, accompanied their families, and even treated those convicted with dignity.

His leadership did not come from authority, but from humility, integrity, and moral conviction. He lived out love and justice with discipline and compassion, embodying the true meaning of Titus 1:8.

Titus 1:8 reminds us that credibility, influence, and spiritual authority flow from a life shaped by goodness, integrity, and godliness.

DAILY REFLECTION

“Rather, he must be hospitable, one who loves what is good, who is self-controlled, upright, holy and disciplined.”
Titus‬ ‭1‬:‭8‬ ‭

True leadership is not about position but about righteousness lived out in love, justice, and sacrificial service.

Bryan Stevenson is an American lawyer, social justice activist, and founder of the Equal Justice Initiative. He has given his life to defending those most desperate and in need: the poor, the wrongly condemned, and women and children trapped in the farthest reaches of the criminal justice system. His tireless pursuit of justice is not driven by recognition or power, but by compassion, dignity, and a deep conviction that every person bears the image of God.

For decades, he has entered the most painful spaces of human suffering : death row cells, broken communities, and courtrooms filled with injustice, yet he remains grounded, gracious, and steadfast. He opens his life, time, and heart to those society has rejected. He listens to their stories, stands with their families, and treats even the condemned with dignity.

His leadership flows not from authority but from humility, integrity, and moral conviction. In living out love and justice with discipline and mercy, he reflects the true meaning of Titus 1:8.

Titus 1:8 reminds us that  credibility, influence, and spiritual authority flow from a life shaped by goodness, integrity, and godliness.

Daily Reflection

“The earth will be filled with the knowledge of the glory of the Lord, as the waters cover the sea.” Habakkuk 2:14

History is being lifted up by the mighty hand of God, heading towards a future where the whole earth will know His glory and His truth will fill all directions.

Bobby Gruenewald, pastor and innovation leader at Life Church in Oklahoma, USA, is also the founder of the YouVersion Bible app—a vessel used by God to put the Bible into the hands and hearts of more than a billion people around the world.

What began as a simple idea in the mind of a young innovator was nurtured in God's mighty hands into one of the greatest Bible dissemination movements in history. Bobby wasn't trying to build a technological empire; he simply longed to make God's word more accessible to people. Yet the Lord took his tiny seed of obedience, placed it in His hands, and allowed it to grow beyond imagination. Today, through smartphones, tablets, and digital platforms, the Bible is crossing borders, languages, and generations with unprecedented speed and freedom—all thanks to the wondrous work of God.

Bobby's journey reminds us that God delights in using ordinary people to accomplish extraordinary things when they are willing to listen, obey, and be innovative in their service to the gospel. His story challenges us to dream bigger and have deeper faith, because when our lives are placed in God's hands, no vision is too small, and no obedience too insignificant. It also invites us to consider: In my life, which small act of obedience will God accept today, making it an instrument for His word to spread "like waters filling the sea"?

Habakkuk 2:14 declares that God's mission is unstoppable, His word has life-changing power, and His kingdom will ultimately prevail. This inspires us to joyfully participate in spreading His truth until the whole earth reflects His glory—the glory carried and manifested by God's mighty hand.

"With man this is impossible, but with God all things are possible."

Daily Reflection
November 20, 2025

“If anyone has worldly possessions and sees his brother in need but shuts up his compassion, how can the love of God dwell in him? Dear children, let us not love each other with words or tongue, but with actions and in truth.”

1 John 3:17–18

The love spoken of in the Bible is not an emotion or an abstract concept, but a life force that motivates people to make sacrifices.

Toyohiko Kagawa (1888–1960) was a prominent Japanese Christian reformer and labor movement leader. Born into privilege and educated at a top university, he could have chosen a comfortable, respectable, and influential life. However, he chose a completely different path—a path that made the love of Christ visible, tangible, and undeniable. Kagawa voluntarily moved into the heart of the Shinkawa slum in Kobe, abandoning his own comfort and security to live among the poor and serve those most in need. His compassion was manifested not only in his presence but also in his advocacy, action, and daily sacrifice. He pursued justice with humility and gentleness, living out the character of Christ. Although this mission plunged him into extreme exhaustion, illness, and misunderstanding, he never wavered, for he firmly believed that love without action is not true faith.

He didn't preach from a pulpit, but in a small hut in the slums. He didn't rely on flowery words, but on sacrificial love to bear witness to the truth. He didn't rely on emotional expression, but on sweat, tears, and the practice of his life.

He Chuan's life is the clearest portrayal of Christ's love in action—a mercy that touches the broken, lifts up the weary, and reveals God's will.

May the love of Christ also propel us toward the wounded corners of the world—so that mercy may become visible through our lives, and that the world may see the heart of the living God.

1 John 3:17–18 teaches us that true love reflects the self-sacrificing love of Jesus. It transcends words, manifesting in continuous, real, and compassionate actions that allow those who do not love to see the heart of God.

"To be loved by God is the highest relationship, the highest achievement, and the highest status in life." — Henry Blackaby

DAILY REFLECTION

“If anyone has material possessions and sees a brother or sister in need but has no pity on them, how can the love of God be in that person? Dear children, let us not love with words or speech but with actions and in truth.”  1 John 3:17–18

Love, in the biblical sense, is never merely an emotion or an idea—it is a living force that compels sacrificial action.

Toyohiko Kagawa (1888–1960) was a Japanese Christian reformer and labor activist. Born into privilege and trained in the finest institutions, he could easily have embraced a life of comfort, status, and influence. Instead, he chose a radically different path—one that made the love of Christ visible, sacrificial, and undeniable. Kagawa moved into the heart of Kobe’s Shinkawa slum, laying aside comfort and security to live among the poor and serve those in deepest need. His compassion took shape not only in presence, but also in advocacy and daily sacrifice. He pursued justice with humility and gentleness, mirroring the character of Christ. Though this calling pushed him to the brink of exhaustion, illness, and misunderstanding, he never stopped giving. He believed with conviction that faith without love-in-action is no faith at all.

He did not preach from a pulpit, but from a slum hut. Not proclaimed through eloquence, but proven through sacrificial love. Not expressed in sentiment, but in sweat, tears, and truth.

Kagawa’s life stands as one of the clearest demonstrations of Christian love made tangible—a compassion that touches the broken, lifts the weary, and reveals the heart of God.

May the love of Christ likewise compel us toward the wounded places of our world—so that through our lives, compassion becomes visible, and the world may see the living heart of God.

1 John 3:17–18 teaches us that real love mirrors Jesus’ own sacrificial love. It moves beyond talk into committed, compassionate action that reflects the heart of God to an unloving world.

“By faith the walls of Jericho collapsed, after the Israelites had circled the city for seven days.”

Hebrews 11:30

God often leads us on paths that seem slow, unusual, and even beyond our comprehension. Yet it is in these moments that He shapes our faith—preparing us to witness miracles that only He can accomplish.

The Berlin Wall stood for nearly three decades, a symbol of division and oppression. To the world, it seemed unshakeable; to many, it seemed invincible. Yet, countless Christians and churches—on either side of the wall—refused to succumb to despair. They persisted in prayer, peaceful gatherings, and the unwavering belief that God could accomplish what politics and power could not.

Then, on November 9, 1989, the impossible happened. The wall fell—not by the army or by violence, but through the power of persistent prayer, the perseverance of peaceful resistance, and the trust that ordinary believers showed in an extraordinary God.

Just as the walls of Jericho fell in God’s appointed time, the Berlin Wall also crumbled in His time and manner—a reminder that no obstacle is too strong to be broken, no division too deep to be healed, and no force too great to surpass faith.

Hebrews 11:30 calls us to trust God completely, obey Him completely, and persevere patiently—for what is impossible to man is never impossible to Him.

DAILY REFLECTION

“By faith the walls of Jericho fell, after the army had marched around them for seven days.”Hebrews‬ ‭11‬:‭30‬ ‭

God often leads us in ways that feel slow, unusual, or beyond our understanding. Yet in those moments, He is shaping our faith — preparing us to witness the miracle that only He can bring.

For nearly thirty years, the Berlin Wall stood as a fortress of division and oppression. To the world, it was immovable. To many, it was impossible. But countless Christians and churches — on both sides of the wall — refused to surrender to despair. They prayed faithfully, gathered peacefully, and held fast to the conviction that God could do what politics and power could not.

Then, on November 9, 1989, the impossible happened. The wall crumbled — not by armies or violence, but through the quiet strength of persistent prayer, peaceful resistance, and the courage of ordinary believers who trusted in an extraordinary God.

Just as the walls of Jericho fell at God’s appointed time, so too did the Berlin Wall collapse — reminding the world that no barrier is too strong, no division too deep, and no impossibility too great for the power of faith.

Hebrews 11:30 calls us to trust God fully, obey Him completely, and persevere patiently — because what looks impossible to us is never impossible to Him.
