DAILY REFLECTION

“Rather, he must be hospitable, one who loves what is good, who is self-controlled, upright, holy and disciplined.”
Titus‬ ‭1‬:‭8‬ ‭

True leadership is not about position but about righteousness lived out in love, justice, and sacrificial service.

Bryan Stevenson is an American lawyer, social justice activist, and founder of the Equal Justice Initiative. He has given his life to defending those most desperate and in need: the poor, the wrongly condemned, and women and children trapped in the farthest reaches of the criminal justice system. His tireless pursuit of justice is not driven by recognition or power, but by compassion, dignity, and a deep conviction that every person bears the image of God.

For decades, he has entered the most painful spaces of human suffering : death row cells, broken communities, and courtrooms filled with injustice, yet he remains grounded, gracious, and steadfast. He opens his life, time, and heart to those society has rejected. He listens to their stories, stands with their families, and treats even the condemned with dignity.

His leadership flows not from authority but from humility, integrity, and moral conviction. In living out love and justice with discipline and mercy, he reflects the true meaning of Titus 1:8.

Titus 1:8 reminds us that  credibility, influence, and spiritual authority flow from a life shaped by goodness, integrity, and godliness.
