DAILY REFLECTION
“The Lord is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit.”
Psalm 34:18
God’s nearness is not symbolic—it is living, sustaining, and deeply personal.
Hong Kong’s most devastating fire in over six decades has claimed at least 55 lives, with hundreds still missing. The suddenness of the disaster, the precious lives lost, and the anguish of those left behind have carved a wound too deep for words.
In the smoldering aftermath—amid tears, fear, and unanswered questions—His presence is intimate. He comes not with explanations, but with comfort; not with quick fixes, but with strength that gives peace to the soul.
This tragedy confronts us with life’s fragility. Even the safest places can become sites of heartbreak. Yet in the darkest valleys, we discover a sacred truth: grief becomes a sacred place where God’s love is felt most clearly.
God hears the prayers of the grieving families. He gathers every tear and carries them. He upholds survivors and first responders with strength beyond their own. He gives hope to a city shaken by loss.
As Hong Kong mourns, may His nearness give comfort, resilience, and the promise of new strength for the days ahead.
Psalm 34:18 reminds us that suffering does not push God away—it draws Him even closer. In the valley of grief, His presence is not distant but tender and near. It offers a gentle yet powerful assurance: you are not alone. God bends toward the brokenhearted, gathers every tear, and upholds those who feel too weak to stand. His unfailing love will carry you through.

DAILY REFLECTION
“See, I am doing a new thing! Now it springs up; do you not perceive it? I am making a way in the wilderness and streams in the wasteland.”
Isaiah 43:19
In a world where traditional theological training is often limited by geography, finances, and rigid structures, God has birthed a “new thing”—an innovative pathway to equip believers across nations with His Word and wisdom.
On 11 January 2025, a fresh vision unfolds: Tyrannus Online Seminary (TOS) unveils its marketing platform TNI, designed to reach and empower Christian business leaders in the marketplace. This is not merely an initiative—it is a movement of God, igniting a global community of professionals united by faith and purpose.
TNI mission reflects this divine intention. First, we seek to equip Christian businesspeople with God’s Word, helping them grow in their walk with Christ and anchoring their decisions in biblical wisdom. Second, we aim to foster a vibrant, supportive network where Christian business owners can encourage one another, share referrals, collaborate, and build trust-based partnerships that honour the Lord.
At the heart of TNI is a call to integrate faith into daily business. We inspire believers to shine Christ’s light through integrity, compassion, and excellence—transforming workplaces into arenas of witness and impact.
TNI is God’s “new thing”—springing up, bringing life, and calling us to perceive His hand at work. Together, we advance His kingdom, one business, one believer, one marketplace at a time.

Isaiah 43:19 reminds us that God specialises in renewal. He creates opportunities in impossible places, brings life where there is dryness, and invites His people to embrace His new work with trust, expectation, and obedience.

DAILY REFLECTION
“being confident of this, that he who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus.”
Philippians 1:6
God never abandons His workmanship. Our progress in Him is not secured by our perfection, but by His persistence. His grace continues to mold, correct, strengthen, and guide us — faithfully, step by step.
When Tyrannus Online Seminary’s founder, Prof. Dr. Paul Cheng, was called home on 22 January 2023, we felt the heavy weight of loss. He was a visionary who carried God’s heartbeat for theological education. Yet even in grief, God’s hands were already at work.
The mantle of leadership then fell on me — a businessman without formal theological training, yet entrusted with a divine burden. Though uncertain of myself, I clung to one truth: When God calls, His hands equip. By His grace, a committed team of board members, seminarians, advisors, and co-labourers rose together. Programs expanded from Certificate to Diploma to Bachelor of Theology. The torch of training faithful servants kept burning — because God’s hands held it firm.
A breakthrough came with the launch of TOSLMS.org, our own Learning Management System. What once seemed impossible became reality as God opened the way for a fully digital seminary, accessible anywhere, anytime.
Then on 19 September 2025, history was made. TOS received official ATA accreditation for Certificate, Diploma, and Bachelor of Theology programs — in both English and Chinese. Truly, what God begins, He brings to completion.
The journey pressed forward. Graduate Diploma and Master of Arts programs emerged on the horizon. And on 22 November 2025, at the 3rd TOS Graduation Ceremony, I passed the baton to Dr. Andrew Teo — a younger leader full of vision and fresh anointing.
At the same time, God opened new frontiers through Tyrannus Network International (TNI) — uniting believers in learning, leadership, and the marketplace. The TNI Business Lounge now stands as a hub where leaders dream, strategize, and build for God’s glory, with more lounges to come across nations.
From classrooms to boardrooms, from nations to networks, the vision advances — carried always by the faithful hands of God, who completes every work He begins. And so we press on, confident that the One who started this good work will carry it forward until the day of Christ Jesus.
Philippians 1:6 assures us that our lives are in the hands of a faithful God. What He begins, He sustains; what He sustains, He perfects. It is a promise that gives courage in trials, hope in the unknown, and confidence that God’s purposes for us will surely come to pass.
"God doesn't call the equipped, He equips the called."

DAILY REFLECTION
“I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith.”
2 Timothy 4:7
In the face of life’s unpredictability, we are reminded that what matters most is not the length of our days but the faithfulness of our walk. Each choice, each act of love, each moment of courage becomes part of the testimony we leave behind.
The tragic passing of my dear friend, Paul Wong Chee Meng, in Thailand on 22 November 2025 has left a deep ache in our hearts. Even in our grief, we pause to honour the life he lived. As the founder of Mega Star Arena, Paul was known for his passion, dedication, and influence in Malaysia’s entertainment industry. But beyond his achievements, it was his courage, perseverance, and care for others that defined his journey.
Paul’s fight was not only against the struggles of this world, but often for others — standing with friends, supporting family, and offering kindness in quiet, unseen ways. He was not perfect, but he was faithful in the race set before him.
None of us expected his journey to end so soon, nor in such a tragic way. His race, though shorter than we hoped, was marked by meaningful relationships, shared memories, laughter, and moments that shaped all who knew him. Even in uncertainty, his life reflected resilience and a willingness to keep moving forward.
Now we face the painful silence of his absence, but we hold onto the hope that he rests in the hands of the One who sees, knows, and receives every soul with compassion. While Paul’s earthly race has ended, his legacy of love, friendship, and courage continues in each of us. His life reminds us to live purposefully, to love deeply, and to run our own race with faith.
2 Timothy 4:7 reminds us that every believer is called to run their race faithfully, so that at the end of life we too can say: I fought, I finished, and I kept the faith.
“We must run with purpose, not like someone "beating the air".

(Jim Rohn)

DAILY REFLECTION
“Rather, he must be hospitable, one who loves what is good, who is self-controlled, upright, holy and disciplined.”
Titus 1:8
True leadership is not about position but about righteousness lived out in love, justice, and sacrificial service.
Bryan Stevenson is an American lawyer, social justice activist, and founder of the Equal Justice Initiative. He has given his life to defending those most desperate and in need: the poor, the wrongly condemned, and women and children trapped in the farthest reaches of the criminal justice system. His tireless pursuit of justice is not driven by recognition or power, but by compassion, dignity, and a deep conviction that every person bears the image of God.
For decades, he has entered the most painful spaces of human suffering : death row cells, broken communities, and courtrooms filled with injustice, yet he remains grounded, gracious, and steadfast. He opens his life, time, and heart to those society has rejected. He listens to their stories, stands with their families, and treats even the condemned with dignity.
His leadership flows not from authority but from humility, integrity, and moral conviction. In living out love and justice with discipline and mercy, he reflects the true meaning of Titus 1:8.
Titus 1:8 reminds us that credibility, influence, and spiritual authority flow from a life shaped by goodness, integrity, and godliness.
