DAILY REFLECTION
“Rescue me from the mire, do not let me sink; deliver me from those who hate me, from the deep waters.”
Psalms 69:14
God hears and answers our prayers when we approach Him not with pride or self-sufficiency, but in humble desperation, fully aware of our need for His help.
In April 2003, Aron Ralston, an American mountain climber and motivational speaker, was hiking alone in the remote Blue John Canyon when a dislodged boulder crushed and pinned his right hand. Trapped for nearly six days with limited supplies, Aron made the harrowing decision to amputate his own arm to survive. After escaping the canyon, he was rescued and went on to achieve remarkable milestones. He authored the internationally bestselling book “Between a Rock and a Hard Place”, became a sought-after speaker, and now advocates for wilderness protection. Aron’s story resonates deeply with the human experience of feeling stuck, overwhelmed, and helpless. Yet it also reflects his trust in God’s presence and power to rescue in moments of desperation.
Psalm 69:14 reminds us that God is our refuge when life feels like sinking sand. It calls us to cry out honestly in times of distress, trusting that He hears and is able to deliver. Just as Aron found hope in God amid his trials, we too are invited to seek His help when facing overwhelming challenges - confident that He is faithful to restore, redeem, and lead us to safety.
“God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble." (Psalm 46:1)

DAILY REFLECTION
“You are the God who performs miracles; you display your power among the peoples” Psalm77:14
He is a living, active, and miracle-working God, intervening in supernatural ways to accomplish what seems impossible.
On November 15, 2023, Hans Schmidt, a 26-year-old pastor from Arizona was shot in the head while boldly preaching on the streets of Glendale. A bullet pierced his left temple, and doctors feared the worst, believing survival was unlikely. He was placed in a medically induced coma and, astonishingly, awoke a month later. Since then, he has undergone intensive speech and occupational therapy, relearning how to walk and speak. Despite lingering bullet fragments that doctors deem too risky to remove, he has resumed his street preaching ministry with renewed purpose, and astonishingly, he has extended forgiveness to the assailant who remains unidentified. His recovery is viewed not merely as a medical marvel but as a direct act of divine intervention. His testimony reminds us that God of the Bible is present and active in our lives - guiding, sustaining, and transforming brokenness into hope.
Psalm 77:14 encourages believers to remember God's past faithfulness in times of uncertainty. Reflecting on God's past actions rekindles faith, reminding us that the same God who performed miracles in the Bible is still actively working today, guiding, healing, and demonstrating His power to those who trust Him.
“Hope is praying for rain, but faith is bringing an umbrella.”

DAILY REFLECTION
“Whoever watches the wind will not plant; whoever looks at the clouds will not reap.”
Ecclesiastes 11:4
Life is full of uncertainties, and those who wait for perfect conditions or absolute certainty often find themselves stuck in inaction.
Jeff Bezos, founder and former CEO of Amazon - the world’s largest e-commerce and cloud computing company embodies this principle. His journey reflects a deep bias for action and an unwavering willingness to take bold risks in the face of uncertainty. Rather than waiting for every assurance or complete data, Bezos forged ahead with initiatives, embracing the reality that growth comes through learning, adaptation, and occasional failure. His decision to leave a secure job and launch Amazon marked a pivotal moment of decisive commitment to a larger vision. Over time, he prioritised long-term growth over short-term profits, continually reinvesting in expansion and innovation. His approach mirrors the wisdom of not being discouraged by the “wind” or “clouds” of potential setbacks - a mindset rooted in resilience and faith. His success story reminds us that progress is rarely born from perfection. It grows through courage, conviction, and the willingness to take meaningful steps forward.
Ecclesiastes 11:4 teaches a balanced approach. It calls for diligence over delay, trust over fear, and action over perfectionism. Just as a farmer must sow seed in faith, not knowing how the weather will unfold, Christians are called to live boldly and faithfully, trusting God to bring the harvest.
“To shine your brightest light is to be who you truly are."

DAILY REFLECTION
“Each of you should use whatever gift you have received to serve others, as faithful stewards of God’s grace in its various forms.”
1 Peter 4:10
Christians are reminded not to use their God-given gifts and talents for self-promotion, but to live purposefully and generously, reflecting God’s grace in action.
William Milne, a pioneering English Protestant missionary and sinologist, played a vital role in the early spread of Christianity in China. Serving alongside Robert Morrison, he helped translate the Bible into Chinese - a historic achievement. During his nine years in Asia, he pastored Christ Church in Melaka, co-founded the Anglo-Chinese College, and became its first principal. In 1815, he launched the Chinese Monthly Magazine, the first modern Chinese periodical. Initially printed on woodblocks in Melaka, this publication blended religious insight with science, technology, and current events, breaking the imperial court’s monopoly on information in China. Though the magazine ceased with his passing in 1822 at age 37 due to lung disease, Milne’s legacy lives on. His life testifies to the power of surrendering one’s gifts to serve others - boldly, faithfully, and with vision.
1 Peter 4:10 urges believers to faithfully and purposefully utilize their God-given gifts and talents. Serving others with these gifts honors God and fosters the spiritual growth and well-being of the Church.
“Embrace your unique abilities - your service makes a difference!”

DAILY REFLECTION
“fixing our eyes on Jesus, the pioneer and perfecter of faith. For the joy set before him he endured the cross, scorning its shame, and sat down at the right hand of the throne of God.”Hebrews 12:2
Life’s trials, though daunting, become bearable when our gaze is fixed on Christ - the One who went before us and now reigns victorious. His path of suffering led to triumph, showing us that faithfulness through adversity is never in vain.
Robert Morrison, a pioneering Scottish missionary and sinologist, stands as a powerful example of steadfast devotion. Ordained in 1807 and sent to China by the London Missionary Society, he faced immense resistance - hostile governments, bans on religious activity, and cultural barriers. Yet he pressed on. Equipped with a deep commitment to Christ and an unshakable resolve, Morrison immersed himself in Chinese language and culture, translating the entire Bible into Chinese by 1821. In partnership with William Milne, he co-founded the Anglo-Chinese College in Melaka, Malaysia to prepare future missionaries for frontier evangelism. Their mission was to make God’s Word known among the unreached. His labor of love opened the door for generations of gospel workers in China, and his legacy reverberates today - not just in missions, but in every believer who clings to Christ through hardship. His life reminds us that when we fix our eyes on Jesus, even the fiercest trials can be transformed into testimonies of victory.
Hebrews 12:2 encourages believers to fix their eyes on Jesus, the pioneer and perfecter of faith. His suffering, motivated by love and hope, reveals a purpose transcending immediate pain. This example offers both comfort and challenge, calling us to persevere, trusting in God's work to mature our faith.
“Never be afraid to trust an unknown future to a known God."

DAILY REFLECTION
"Humility and the fear of the Lord bring wealth and honor and life."
Proverbs 22:4
True humility begins with a deep respect and reverence for God. It shapes our actions, guides our decisions, and defines our values.
Scottie Scheffler, a 29 year-old American professional golfer, exemplifies this beautifully. His rise to global prominence - marked by multiple PGA Tour victories and four major championships reflects excellence and discipline. Yet, it’s not his titles or trophies that define him. It’s his posture of gratitude and faith. He consistently acknowledges that his success stems from God’s grace, not personal prowess. He doesn’t boast about accomplishments; instead, he sees them as opportunities to glorify God. His calm demeanor, commitment to family, and grounded spiritual life reveal a man who understands that honour isn’t earned merely on the fairway - it’s cultivated in the heart. Through his example, we’re reminded that true greatness lies not in recognition, but in quiet faithfulness. And that a life lived in reverence to God yields not only impact but eternal value.
Proverbs 22:4 reminds believers that true reward comes from walking in humility and reverence toward God, not through self-promotion or worldly striving. It’s a call to trust God’s way, knowing He is faithful to bless those who walk in obedience and fear Him.
“Humility is the solid foundation of all virtues."

DAILY REFLECTION
“Many are the plans in a person’s heart, but it is the Lord’s purpose that prevails.”
Proverbs 19:21
No human effort can thwart His divine will. His sovereignty guarantees that all He intends will come to pass.
Tan Sri Chan Ah Chye, a titan of Malaysia’s property and construction sector, founded Talam Corp (later Talam Transform Bhd) in 1982, building it into a leading force in national development. Yet in the wake of ambitious expansions and extensive bank loans, the company fell into deep financial distress - facing RM3.5 billion in debt and the potential abandonment of 13,000 homes. At his lowest point, a visit to St. Isaac’s Cathedral in St. Petersburg ignited a spiritual awakening. Encountering the presence of God, he embraced Christianity - a decision that became the foundation for everything that followed. His newfound faith inspired humility, prayer, and reconciliation. He met creditors not with defiance but with a spirit of peace, ultimately initiating a restructuring that resolved over a billion ringgit in debt.
With the same resolve, he addressed outstanding government dues through strategic asset sales, embracing solutions that benefited all parties. Prayer became central - not only to him personally, but throughout his company, where a prayer group stood with him in every challenge. In the midst of the storm, worship overflowed: he rewrote the lyrics of more than 35 popular Chinese songs with English words that glorified Christ. Before going home to be with the Lord on 11 June 2024, at the age of 78, he had fully repaid all his debts - an act of grace, faith, and determination. His journey stands as living testimony to the truth of Proverbs 19:21
Proverbs 19:21 assures us that God’s plans are greater than ours. Even when things don’t go as we hoped, we can rest knowing that God’s purpose will always be for our good and His glory.
“The more you act on your faith in God, the more you will see his way for you.”

DAILY REFLECTION
“I eagerly expect and hope that I will in no way be ashamed, but will have sufficient courage so that now as always Christ will be exalted in my body, whether by life or by death.”
Philippians 1:20
When we fix our eyes on Jesus, even the fiercest battles can become platforms for glory.
This kind of trust is clearly revealed in the life of Jimmy Lai, a Hong Kong Christian businessman and public figure. As the founder of Giordano, Next Digital, and the well-known newspaper Apple Daily, he used his influence to champion freedom of speech and democratic values in Hong Kong - despite facing immense personal and legal adversity. His outspoken stance against oppression and his unwavering advocacy for justice lived courageously in the public square. Even after being arrested in August 2020 under the National Security Law and enduring repeated custody, his resilience stands as a testament to a heart fully yielded to righteousness. His actions reflect a deep conviction that freedom and truth are worth defending - regardless of the cost. His story calls us to stand firm, speak truth, and live boldly for the Lord.
Philippians 1:20 reminds believers to live with courage, hope, and a Christ-centered perspective - committed to honoring Jesus no matter the cost. It challenges us to shift our focus from self to Christ and to embrace a purpose-driven life grounded in eternal values.
“God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind."

DAILY REFLECTION
“I will instruct you and teach you in the way you should go; I will counsel you with my loving eye on you.”
Psalms 32:8
God’s guidance is intimate, intentional, and rooted in a loving relationship. He sees our needs, our struggles, our dreams. And in His tender concern, He directs our steps with clarity and care.
One powerful example of this truth is seen in the life of Idris Jala, a distinguished Malaysian technocrat and a devout Christian from the Kelabit tribe. From humble beginnings, he pursued excellence through education at Universiti Sains Malaysia and Warwick University, and served 23 impactful years with Shell, eventually leading as CEO of Shell Middle Distillates in Bintulu and Shell Sri Lanka - turning both operations around through visionary leadership. In 2005, he stepped into the role of CEO at Malaysia Airlines during a time of financial crisis. Through bold reforms and strategic innovation, he steered the airline to record profits within two years, earning the CAPA Airline Turnaround of the Year award in 2006. Later, from 2009 to 2015, he served Malaysia as a Minister in the Prime Minister’s Department and CEO of PEMANDU, catalyzing national transformation through economic and performance reforms. His journey from a marginalized background to a place of national influence is a story of faith, resilience and excellence. It is a testament to the power of walking in divine wisdom and trusting God’s direction through every challenge. His life reflects the beauty of Psalm 32:8.
Psalm 32:8 invites believers to trust in God’s active role in their lives. It assures us that when we seek Him, He will lead us forward with wisdom and love. It encourages a life of dependence on God’s instruction, knowing that His guidance flows from a heart of love, offering us security, direction, and peace on our journey.
“Excellence is not a skill. It is an attitude."

DAILY REFLECTION
“Two are better than one, because they have a good return for their labor:”
Ecclesiastes 4:9
Companionship is a source of strength, encouragement, and practical support. It empowers us to face life’s challenges and pursue purpose with resilience and hope.
The story of TA Group is a powerful reflection of this truth. Founded in the 1990s by Datuk Tony and Datin Alicia Tiah as a stockbroking firm, TA has grown into a multifaceted financial conglomerate with ventures in asset management, property development, and the luxury hospitality brand Paradox. At the heart of this success is a unique partnership marked by shared vision, and complementary strengths that produced exceptional results.Their leadership prioritises excellence, employee well-being, innovation, and sustainability. Yet beyond the corporate achievements lies a deeper foundation: a life rooted in faith. The Tiahs serve God wholeheartedly and exemplify biblical principles that guide their decisions and character—choosing love over ambition, releasing the past, embracing identity in Christ, receiving forgiveness, and relying on divine grace through trials. Their journey is a testimony of living righteously, growing purposefully, and placing unwavering hope in God.
Ecclesiastes 4:9 reminds us of the transformative power of godly relationships. When we walk together in purpose - spirit-led, united, and committed, we not only share life’s burden more easily, but we also multiply our impact and magnify hope.
“A faithful friend is the medicine of life.”
