"Commit to the Lord whatever you do, and he will establish your plans."
Proverbs 16:3

June 3 marked the conclusion of the TOS 3D/2N Retreat 2026 at Millennia Village, Seremban. Our faculty and staff departed refreshed, renewed, and united in purpose, ready to elevate Tyrannus Online Seminary and expand its global impact in the years ahead.

Before leaving, we gathered to humbly dedicate our plans, strategies, and vision for the next three years to the Lord, acknowledging that the future of TOS ultimately belongs to Him.

While we are called to plan diligently, serve faithfully, and pursue excellence, we recognize that the outcome rests in God’s sovereign wisdom and perfect timing. Therefore, we place every dream, challenge, and opportunity into His hands, trusting that He will continue to guide, provide, and establish His purposes for Tyrannus Online Seminary for His glory and the advancement of His Kingdom.

When we place our vision in His hands, we can move forward with confidence, knowing that He is directing our paths and aligning our efforts with His divine purposes. What we cannot foresee, He already knows. What we cannot control, He sovereignly rules over. What we cannot accomplish in our own strength, He is able to do through His power and grace. 

Proverbs 16:3 reminds us to live with both diligence and dependence. We work hard, plan wisely, and faithfully steward what God has entrusted to us, yet we leave the results in His hands. As we surrender our lives, ministries, families, careers, and dreams to Him, we discover true rest, renewed strength, and unwavering confidence that God will accomplish far more than we could ever ask or imagine.

June 2 marked the second day of the TOS Faculty and Staff Retreat, featuring fruitful discussions on course mapping and strategic planning as we chart the future of Tyrannus Online Seminary for the next three years. Together, we explored ways to strengthen our academic programs, enhance our online learning platform, and advance our mission of equipping faithful servants of God around the world. These sessions not only clarified our direction but also renewed our commitment to raising Christ-centered leaders who will impact lives, strengthen churches, and transform communities for God’s glory.

Today’s verse reminds us that God’s work flourishes when we are united in heart, spirit, and purpose. True unity is more than simply agreeing with one another; it is a Spirit-empowered commitment to pursue God’s calling together. When we are united, vision becomes clearer, collaboration becomes stronger, and Kingdom impact becomes greater.

As we prayerfully plan for the future of TOS, Philippians 2:2 challenges us to move forward with one heart, one spirit, and one vision. Only through such unity can we effectively fulfill God’s mission of equipping disciple-makers and ministry leaders for the nations.

“When God’s people are united in heart, spirit, and purpose, their impact for His Kingdom is multiplied.”‬‬

"Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you."
Matthew 28:19-20 

Yesterday, the Tyrannus Online Seminary Faculty and Staff 3D/2N Retreat at Millennia Village Resort officially commenced with a wonderful time of fellowship, bonding, and meaningful connections. We thank God for this opportunity to strengthen relationships, encourage one another, and deepen our unity as we seek His direction for the future of the seminary.

At the heart of our gathering is the Great Commission in Matthew 28:19–20. Jesus commands us to “make disciples of all nations,” reminding us that we are not merely believers but partners in His mission of transforming lives and advancing His Kingdom throughout the world.

As servants of God, we are called not only to grow in spiritual maturity but also to equip, mentor, and empower others for effective ministry. While the task may seem daunting, Jesus gives us this assurance: “Surely I am with you always.” His presence strengthens, guides, and empowers us to fulfill His calling with confidence and faith.

This retreat is therefore more than a time of fellowship—it is a time for our faculty to seek God’s vision and direction for TOS as a global online seminary. Through TOSLMS, we are committed to equipping and empowering faithful servants of God worldwide, raising disciple-makers and ministry leaders who will impact lives, strengthen churches, and transform communities for the glory of God.

The Great Commission remains the Church’s mandate today. Every believer is called to share the gospel, make disciples, and participate in God’s redemptive work, knowing that Christ is with us until He returns in glory.

“We are not called merely to gather believers, but to equip disciple-makers who will impact nations for Christ.”

"Let us then approach God’s throne of grace with confidence, so that we may receive mercy and find grace to help us in our time of need." 
Hebrews 4:16

In 2023, by God’s grace, we raised sufficient funds to sustain Tyrannus Online Seminary and successfully held its first Graduation Ceremony, where eight students received their Certificates in Theology. It was a season of great joy as we witnessed God’s faithfulness in providing for the ministry and equipping servants for His Kingdom work.

However, as 2024 began, the financial resources that had sustained the seminary were exhausted. The challenge of recruiting qualified personnel to meet the ATA’s Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) while continuing the ministry seemed overwhelming. Humanly speaking, the future appeared uncertain, and the path ahead was filled with daunting obstacles.

Yet in that season of need, God once again proved His faithfulness. Through the recommendations and generosity of friends who shared the vision of the ministry, He provided the necessary resources at just the right time. Their support was a powerful reminder that God sees every need, hears every prayer, and moves the hearts of His people to fulfill His purposes.

This experience reinforced a timeless truth: “Where God guides, He provides.”

Hebrews 4:16 assures us that God gives “grace to help in time of need.” He does not always provide according to our timetable, but He always provides according to His perfect timing. There were moments when answers seemed delayed, resources were scarce, and human strength was exhausted. Yet God's provision arrived exactly when it was needed most, bringing glory to Him alone.

Looking back, every challenge became an opportunity to witness God's faithfulness. Every obstacle taught me to rely less on my own abilities and more on His unfailing promises. Every season of uncertainty deepened my faith and strengthened my trust in Him.

Hebrews 4:16 calls us to approach God's throne of grace with confidence, knowing that His mercy is always available and His grace is always sufficient. When we trust Him completely, we discover that His provision is never late—it is perfectly aligned with His wisdom, love, and purpose.

“God may not provide according to our schedule, but He always provides according to our need.”

"God is our refuge and strength, an ever-present help in trouble."
Psalm 46:1

On 22 September 2012, what began as a routine inspection at my home unexpectedly turned into a life-threatening ordeal. While checking on the completion of a storeroom, I accidentally fell into a monsoon drain. As I landed, the sharp edges of broken glass and tiles severely cut the sole of my right foot.

Bleeding profusely and in excruciating pain, I somehow managed to climb out of the six-foot-deep drain and wash the wound with water from a nearby garden tap. By God’s providence, my son arrived shortly afterward and rushed me to a clinic. Upon examining the injury, the doctor immediately referred me to the hospital for emergency surgery.

The orthopedic surgeon spent nearly four hours carefully removing shards of glass and thoroughly cleaning the wound. Yet the ordeal was far from over. A serious infection soon developed, and at one point, doctors feared that my right leg might have to be amputated. I remained hospitalized for twenty-three days, enduring intense physical pain, uncertainty, and emotional anguish.

During those difficult days in the hospital, Psalm 46:1 became more than a verse to read—it became a truth to experience. God did not immediately remove the trial, nor did He instantly heal my wound. Instead, He manifested His presence in the midst of my suffering. He surrounded me with His peace when anxiety threatened to overwhelm me, strengthened me when my body felt weak, and comforted me when fear and uncertainty filled my heart. It is in my moments of weakness that I discover the sufficiency of His grace and the strength of His sustaining hand.

Psalm 46:1 reminds us that God is our refuge when life’s storms rage around us, our strength when our own resources are exhausted, and our ever-present help when we feel helpless and alone. He sees every tear, understands every struggle, and walks with us through every valley.

“God does not always remove the storm immediately, but He faithfully becomes our refuge, our strength, and our ever-present help within it.”

"Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, the new creation has come: The old has gone, the new is here!"
2 Corinthians 5:17 

Before I came to know Jesus Christ, I struggled with a terrible temper. Whenever things did not go my way, anger flared up quickly. Though I worked hard to provide financially for my family, I often carried stress back home and wounded my wife with harsh words. Our home lacked the peace, joy, and warmth I longed for.

When I became a Christian, God did not transform me overnight. Instead, He began a gradual work of reshaping my heart. One of the greatest lessons came through an Indian Muslim driver who worked for me. He had been hot-tempered, addicted to smoking and drinking, and often used foul language. I shared the gospel with him many times, but he always rejected it.

After only two weeks, he accidentally crashed my car. I was furious and ready to dismiss him immediately. Yet, that very day, he looked at me and said, “I want to receive Jesus.” At that moment, my anger melted away. What impacted me even more was witnessing the genuine transformation that followed. The man who was once aggressive and easily angered gradually became gentle, humble, and patient. Through his change, God revealed a deeper truth to me: the person most in need of transformation was actually myself.

This experience beautifully reflects the truth of 2 Corinthians 5:17: “If anyone is in Christ, the new creation has come: The old has gone, the new is here!”In Christ, no past failure, sin, or brokenness has the final word. Through His grace, we are not merely repaired—we are made new. God replaces anger with peace, pride with humility, bitterness with forgiveness, and despair with hope.

2 Corinthians 5:17 reminds believers that no one is beyond God’s grace. Regardless of past failures, addictions, anger, or regrets, Christ has the power to make all things new. Countless transformed lives throughout history testify to this truth, and each one points us back to the hope we have in Him.

“In Christ, the past no longer defines us—the cross erases our failures, and His resurrection writes a new story of hope.”

“Honour your father and mother”-which is the first commandment with a promise-“so that it may go well with you and that you may enjoy long life on the earth.”
‭‭Ephesians‬ ‭6‬:‭2‬-‭3‬ ‭

When I read the news that our Deputy Prime Minister is considering a law to penalize adult children who neglect their elderly parents, it raises a sobering question about the moral fabric of our society. Laws may enforce duty, but only love can fulfill God’s design. We need love, not law.

I remember vividly when my father turned ninety and suddenly fell into a coma. I rushed home, and when I saw the man who was once strong and full of vitality now frail and helpless, my heart broke. As I gently shaved his beard, trimmed his nails, and wiped his body, tears streamed down my face while I prayed: “Lord, please let my father come to know You.” Suddenly, he opened his eyes and whispered, “How long have I been asleep?” In that sacred moment, I held him close and said, “Dad, I love you. Jesus loves you too. Are you willing to receive Him?” By God’s grace, my father nodded, and the Lord sustained him until the age of ninety-two.

This experience taught me that honoring parents is not about compulsion—it is about compassion. God’s Word establishes honoring father and mother as part of His divine order for family and society. It is the first commandment with a promise: well-being and longevity. The health of individuals, families, and even nations is tied to how faithfully we uphold this principle.

Honoring parents is more than outward compliance; it is a posture of the heart. It means valuing their sacrifices, listening to their counsel, and caring for them in their later years. In doing so, we reflect the heart of God, who delights in obedience rooted in love. When children honor parents, families flourish. When families flourish, society is strengthened. This commandment safeguards generational blessing and stability.

In a world that prizes independence over interdependence, Ephesians 6:2–3 calls us back to God’s design: a family structure where honor flows upward and blessing flows downward. To dishonor parents is to disrupt this divine order, but to honor them is to align with God’s promise of life, peace, and prosperity.

"Whatever you ask in my name, this I will do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son. If you ask me anything in my name, I will do it."
John 14:13-14 

Twenty-five years ago, I invested in two hilltop semi-detached bungalows in Cheras, attracted by the promise of profit and the breathtaking view of the Twin Towers. Like many investors, I imagined a future of quick appreciation and financial gain. However, when the keys were finally handed over, my excitement quickly turned into disappointment. A towering low-cost apartment had completely blocked the skyline view that once made the properties so attractive.

Months passed without a single buyer. The burden of loan repayments grew heavier with each passing month, while property agents only deepened my discouragement by insisting that the location was cursed with bad feng shui. In that difficult season, I came face to face with the limits of human wisdom and effort.

Out of desperation, I turned wholeheartedly to the Lord. I went to Genting to fast and pray, seeking God’s guidance, wisdom, and breakthrough. After returning home, my wife and I prayer-walked around the properties, surrendering every anxiety and burden into God’s hands.

Then, by faith, I made a simple yet bold decision. I removed all the agents’ signboards and replaced them with my own contact details. Within just a few days, God began to move in ways I could never have imagined. One property was purchased by a feng shui practitioner, while the other was bought by a Taiwanese buyer. What seemed impossible suddenly became possible through God’s divine intervention.

Looking back, this experience taught me a profound spiritual lesson: when human understanding fails, God’s wisdom prevails. Often, God allows delays, disappointments, and closed doors to teach us deeper dependence on Him. What we perceive as unanswered prayer may actually be God preparing something better according to His perfect timing.

In John 14:13–14, Jesus reminds us that when we pray in His name and trust in His will, He is able to work beyond what we can see or imagine. This passage continues to encourage me to pray with faith, humility, and confidence, believing that God still hears prayers, still opens impossible doors, and still transforms burdens into blessings for those who trust Him wholeheartedly.

“Closed doors may be God’s way of preparing us for a greater breakthrough.”

“In the same way, I tell you, there is rejoicing in the presence of the angels of God over one sinner who repents.””
‭‭Luke‬ ‭15‬:‭10‬ ‭

Reflecting on my invitation by the Full Gospel Business Men’s Fellowship Klang Utama on 22 May 2026 to speak at their Parents Day evangelistic dinner fills my heart with profound gratitude and joy. As I stood before the congregation sharing my personal testimony of transformation, I could deeply sense God’s presence moving gently throughout the room, touching hearts with His love, grace, and compassion. There was a quiet but powerful awareness that God was speaking personally to many who were listening.

The most unforgettable moment came during the altar call. As individuals stepped forward in response to God’s invitation and opened their hearts to receive salvation, I was deeply moved witnessing lives being touched and transformed before my eyes. In that sacred moment, I was reminded once again that every soul is infinitely precious to God. No life is insignificant in His sight.

In a world that constantly measures human worth by success, wealth, status, or accomplishments, God sees people very differently. Heaven does not rejoice over earthly achievements, but over one lost soul returning home to the Father. This truth became a powerful reminder for me to see others through God’s eyes — with compassion, mercy, and unconditional love. Every individual carries sacred value because each person is created in the image of God.

Luke 15:10 also challenges every believer to share God’s heart for the lost. We are called not to condemn people, but to lovingly lead them toward repentance, restoration, and salvation in Christ, often through the testimony of what God has done in our own lives. Personal testimonies carry extraordinary power because they reveal the reality of God’s transforming grace.

"I will instruct you and teach you in the way you should go; I will counsel you with my eye upon you."
Psalm 32:8

Each morning, as I sought God’s presence through quiet reflection and prayer, I became increasingly aware of His faithful guidance illuminating my path. Though the journey was filled with challenges, uncertainties, and obstacles, His presence continually renewed my strength, gave clarity to my mind, and enabled me to persevere with faith and courage.

With the support of two full-time workers and several committed part-time co-workers, we labored diligently to refine and strengthen the curriculum, striving to ensure both its quality and relevance. Sustained by God’s gracious hand and united through shared vision and teamwork, we eventually witnessed a significant milestone — the successful organization of Tyrannus Online Seminary’s very first graduation ceremony in November 2023. Looking back, this journey became a powerful testimony of how steadfast faith, perseverance, and collaborative effort under God’s guidance can transform what once seemed impossible into reality.

Psalm 32:8 brought deep reassurance during this season, reminding me that I was never truly alone even when the road ahead appeared uncertain and overwhelming. God’s promise to instruct, teach, and counsel revealed His intimate care and continual involvement in every detail of my life. The image of His “loving eye” watching over me became a profound source of comfort and confidence, assuring me that His guidance flows not from judgment, but from His perfect love and wisdom.

This verse taught me to surrender my fears, release my anxieties, and trust fully in God’s direction. Even when answers did not come immediately, I learned that His timing and guidance are always purposeful and good.

Psalm 32:8 continues to shine as a beacon of hope in moments of doubt, reminding me that God’s presence is personal, faithful, and unwavering. When we seek Him with humble and willing hearts, He faithfully leads us step by step with wisdom, love, and unfailing care.
