DAILY REFLECTION

“The hearts of the wise make their mouths prudent, and their lips promote instruction. Gracious words are a honeycomb, sweet to the soul and healing to the bones.”
Proverbs‬ ‭16‬:‭23‬-‭24‬ ‭

Wisdom in the heart leads to thoughtful and disciplined speech that are kind, uplifting, encouraging and have the power to heal emotional wounds and lift weary spirits.

David Pawson was a profoundly influential English evangelical minister, writer, and Bible teacher whose voice resonated across generations and continents. Through his books, recordings, and global seminars, he reached millions with a message rooted in truth, urgency, and hope. He spoke with the conviction of one who sought not merely to inform, but to transform. His teachings reflected the “mind of the wise,” offering insight that was both intellectually rigorous and spiritually nourishing. His landmark series, Unlocking the Bible, stands as a lasting testament to his deep reverence for God’s Word and his unwavering commitment to helping others understand it. In every sermon, he always pointed them back to the heart of God. He was promoted to glory on 21 May 2020, at the age of 90. Yet his voice is still encouraging, instructing, and inspiring. His life reminds us of the power of thoughtful communication, the beauty of a positive message, and the enduring impact of a life anchored in Scripture.

Proverbs 16:23–24 reminds us that wise and gracious words are not only thoughtful, they are transformative. When we speak with intention and kindness, our words become vessels of healing and hope, sweet to the soul and life.

“Only in Him and in His Word, do we find clarity.”
