DAILY REFLECTION

“And whoever of you desires to be first shall be slave of all. For even the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve, and to give His life a ransom for many.”
Mark‬ ‭10‬:‭44‬-‭45‬ ‭

Imagine a world where true leadership isn't measured by power, prestige and status but by purpose.

Mary Kay Ash, a devout Christian, understood the transformative power of servant leadership.  Her innovative direct sales model, far from being exploitative, fostered a community where women found not only financial independence but also personal fulfillment.  She treated her sales force as family, prioritizing their well-being and success above profit maximization.  Her legacy extends beyond the impressive figures – the $1.2 billion in sales, the global network of over 800,000 independent consultants – to the countless lives she touched and empowered.  Her journey, culminating in a remarkable $98 million fortune at the time of her passing in 2001 at age 83, stands as a testament to the extraordinary potential of a life lived in service.

Mark 10:44-45 serve as a clarion call to Christian entrepreneurs:  Lead by serving, driven by love, and reflecting the selfless devotion of Christ.

“The key to successful leadership today is influence, not authority.”
