DAILY REFLECTION
“The Spirit of the Sovereign Lord is on me, because the Lord has anointed me to proclaim good news to the poor. He has sent me to bind up the brokenhearted, to proclaim freedom for the captives and release from darkness for the prisoners,”
Isaiah 61:1
In a world crying out for hope, Isaiah 61:1 is both anchor and assignment. It is an unshakable reminder that God’s redemption story is still being written through His people.
Rev. Elisha Satvinder is a visionary co-founder of the Dignity for Children Foundation that champions a mission to break the cycle of poverty through education that nurtures both mind and heart. Dignity - Southeast Asia’s first Montessori school for the poor, offers holistic, hands-on learning that empowers children with identity, purpose, and hope. His tireless advocacy for the marginalized and his commitment to national transformation reflect the heart of a servant anointed to bring good news to the poor. His calling is not confined to classrooms; it’s embodied in every child whose future has been reclaimed and every community bound together in dignity and compassion. His work echoes the prophetic mantle of Isaiah: to bind the brokenhearted and proclaim liberty to those held captive by poverty and despair.
Isaiah 61:1 is a sacred summons - calling believers to move with compassion, act with justice, and love with unshakable courage. It affirms that in every shadow of brokenness, God sees, God moves, and God sends. Through the empowering presence of the Holy Spirit, we are commissioned to be His hands and feet in a hurting world.
"Have Hope. Hold on. Pain ends."
