DAILY REFLECTION

"For I am not ashamed of the gospel, because it is the power of God that brings salvation to everyone who believes: first to the Jew, then to the Gentile"
Romans 1:16
I want to share a deeply personal story that reflects both the persistence of faith and the unexpected grace of God. On two occasions, I attempted to share the message of Jesus with a close friend who was a CEO. Each time, he strongly resisted—so much so that I was asked to leave his office. The door to the gospel seemed firmly shut.
Yet, in his darkest moment, everything changed. His wife reached out to me, asking if I would pray for him. In that moment of vulnerability, his heart softened. Through a sincere prayer, he embraced salvation and received Jesus as his Lord and Savior. Just days later, he passed away. I was given the privilege of serving as his funeral director. After the burial, his entire family gathered—not only to express their gratitude, but also to share their desire to receive Jesus. What once appeared to be rejection became a powerful testimony of God’s perfect timing, showing how even the smallest seeds of faith can yield an abundant harvest.
Today’s verse reminds us that no distance is too great for God’s power to reach. The gospel is not something to fear or dismiss, but the very means through which lives are transformed and restored. It reaches all who are willing to believe, lifting them from despair and leading them toward wholeness. It invites an honest encounter with God’s grace—a renewal of the spirit that restores purpose and brings lasting peace.
Reflecting on Romans 1:16, we are reminded that there is no place for shame or hesitation when it comes to the gospel. It is the power of God for salvation to all who believe. This power does not require perfection; it calls for trust. It offers a new beginning—restoring, renewing, and redeeming every life surrendered to Him.
Romans 1:16 calls us to live with confidence in the gospel—bold in sharing, patient in trusting God’s timing, and assured that His saving power is at work in every heart that is open to receive.
“Being unashamed means refusing to deny Christ, even when mocked or facing adversity.”
