DAILY REFLECTION

"Let love and faithfulness never leave you; bind them around your neck, write them on the tablet of your heart. So you will find favor and good success in the sight of God and man"
Proverbs 3:3-4

When believers choose to walk in love and faithfulness, they become vessels of God’s grace - building bridges of trust, reflecting His character, and honoring Him in every relationship.

Ruth’s story is a shining example to this truth. Though a Moabite by birth, she embraced a life of covenant loyalty when she chose to stay with Naomi, her widowed mother-in-law, after the death of their husbands. In a time of grief and uncertainty, Ruth’s decision was driven by love, compassion, and unwavering faith.

She left behind her homeland and stepped into the unknown, committing herself to Naomi’s care with the powerful affirmation : “Where you go, I will go… your God will be my God.” Through tireless labor and quiet devotion, Ruth’s character shone brightly. Her kindness caught the attention of Boaz, a kinsman redeemer, who honored her integrity and welcomed her into his life.

Their union became part of God’s redemptive plan - Ruth, once a foreigner, was grafted into the lineage of King David and ultimately Jesus Christ. Her legacy is one of love that crosses boundaries, faithfulness that defies fear, and redemption that echoes through generations.

Proverbs 3:3-4 reminds us that a life marked by kindness and covenant love is never forgotten. It builds trust, inspires hope, and leaves a legacy that honors God.

“The person who receives the most favors is the one who knows how to return them.”
