DAILY REFLECTION
“being confident of this, that he who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus.”
Philippians 1:6
God never abandons His workmanship. Our progress in Him is not secured by our perfection, but by His persistence. His grace continues to mold, correct, strengthen, and guide us — faithfully, step by step.
When Tyrannus Online Seminary’s founder, Prof. Dr. Paul Cheng, was called home on 22 January 2023, we felt the heavy weight of loss. He was a visionary who carried God’s heartbeat for theological education. Yet even in grief, God’s hands were already at work.
The mantle of leadership then fell on me — a businessman without formal theological training, yet entrusted with a divine burden. Though uncertain of myself, I clung to one truth: When God calls, His hands equip. By His grace, a committed team of board members, seminarians, advisors, and co-labourers rose together. Programs expanded from Certificate to Diploma to Bachelor of Theology. The torch of training faithful servants kept burning — because God’s hands held it firm.
A breakthrough came with the launch of TOSLMS.org, our own Learning Management System. What once seemed impossible became reality as God opened the way for a fully digital seminary, accessible anywhere, anytime.
Then on 19 September 2025, history was made. TOS received official ATA accreditation for Certificate, Diploma, and Bachelor of Theology programs — in both English and Chinese. Truly, what God begins, He brings to completion.
The journey pressed forward. Graduate Diploma and Master of Arts programs emerged on the horizon. And on 22 November 2025, at the 3rd TOS Graduation Ceremony, I passed the baton to Dr. Andrew Teo — a younger leader full of vision and fresh anointing.
At the same time, God opened new frontiers through Tyrannus Network International (TNI) — uniting believers in learning, leadership, and the marketplace. The TNI Business Lounge now stands as a hub where leaders dream, strategize, and build for God’s glory, with more lounges to come across nations.
From classrooms to boardrooms, from nations to networks, the vision advances — carried always by the faithful hands of God, who completes every work He begins. And so we press on, confident that the One who started this good work will carry it forward until the day of Christ Jesus.
Philippians 1:6 assures us that our lives are in the hands of a faithful God. What He begins, He sustains; what He sustains, He perfects. It is a promise that gives courage in trials, hope in the unknown, and confidence that God’s purposes for us will surely come to pass.
"God doesn't call the equipped, He equips the called."
