“The earth will be filled with the knowledge of the glory of the Lord, as the waters cover the sea.” Habakkuk 2:14

History is being lifted up by the mighty hand of God, heading towards a future where the whole earth will know His glory and His truth will fill all directions.

Bobby Gruenewald, pastor and innovation leader at Life Church in Oklahoma, USA, is also the founder of the YouVersion Bible app—a vessel used by God to put the Bible into the hands and hearts of more than a billion people around the world.

What began as a simple idea in the mind of a young innovator was nurtured in God's mighty hands into one of the greatest Bible dissemination movements in history. Bobby wasn't trying to build a technological empire; he simply longed to make God's word more accessible to people. Yet the Lord took his tiny seed of obedience, placed it in His hands, and allowed it to grow beyond imagination. Today, through smartphones, tablets, and digital platforms, the Bible is crossing borders, languages, and generations with unprecedented speed and freedom—all thanks to the wondrous work of God.

Bobby's journey reminds us that God delights in using ordinary people to accomplish extraordinary things when they are willing to listen, obey, and be innovative in their service to the gospel. His story challenges us to dream bigger and have deeper faith, because when our lives are placed in God's hands, no vision is too small, and no obedience too insignificant. It also invites us to consider: In my life, which small act of obedience will God accept today, making it an instrument for His word to spread "like waters filling the sea"?

Habakkuk 2:14 declares that God's mission is unstoppable, His word has life-changing power, and His kingdom will ultimately prevail. This inspires us to joyfully participate in spreading His truth until the whole earth reflects His glory—the glory carried and manifested by God's mighty hand.

"With man this is impossible, but with God all things are possible."
